About Kinwise
Meet Alex Pavlides
Founder, Kinwise
Technologist and storyteller with a PhD in neuroscience. Building Kinwise with NHS CAMHS clinicians to help adults strengthen reflective practice and mentalization—skills that improve parenting and relationships.

What Reflect Connect is (and isn’t)
Reflect Connect is an AI‑guided companion for adults. It helps you slow down, notice patterns, and grow your capacity for mentalization — the ability to hold your own mind and another’s mind in view. These skills support parenting, but they also transform friendships, teams, and partnerships.
It’s not therapy. It’s a practice space: prompts, reflection, gentle experiments, and a record of what actually helps. The aim is calm progress and deeper understanding over time.
My role is to translate solid clinical wisdom into accessible tools. The collaboration with CAMHS clinicians keeps the compass true; the technology helps more people benefit.
Neuroscience → Practice
My doctorate in neurodynamics nurtured a lifelong curiosity about how minds change. I care about practical tools that help people grow, not just theory.
Stories that reveal roots
I’m inspired by interview projects like Soft White Underbelly. Different lives, same theme: childhood matters. Early experiences echo through adulthood.
Built with clinicians
Developed with NHS CAMHS clinical psychologists who coach parents in mentalization — the capacity to understand minds behind behaviors — a skill that benefits adults in every relationship.
What guides Kinwise
Principles that shape Reflect Connect
Mentalization at the Core
Strengthen the skill that helps adults stay curious, regulate emotion, and respond rather than react — in parenting and beyond.
Evidence‑Informed, Human‑First
Grounded in reflective practice and clinical input; built to feel warm, respectful, and useful in daily life.
Privacy Above All
Your reflections are personal. Kinwise is designed to protect them and never sell your data.
Small Steps, Real Change
Short reflections and small experiments compound. Progress comes from noticing and repeating what helps.
Technology as a Mentor
AI can nudge good questions, spot patterns, and keep momentum — always with you in control.
Built with Clinicians
NHS CAMHS psychologists shaped the emphasis on mentalization and reflective practice from day one.
The Journey So Far
How we build
Listen, translate, iterate
What motivates me
I’m not a parent — my path here is neuroscience, technology, and personal growth. Inspired by projects like Soft White Underbelly, I believe early experiences echo through adulthood — and with self-reflection and practice we can change the patterns.
I’m motivated by good questions, better stories, and tools that make it easier to practice what works. Everyone was a child once and many of our adult patterns started there. Changing them is possible.
If this resonates, I’d love to hear your story and build Reflect Connect with you.
Listen First
Conversations with NHS CAMHS clinicians and parents revealed a gap: accessible tools that build reflective capacity in daily life.
Translate to Tools
Turn clinical wisdom — especially mentalization — into prompts, practices, and simple flows that fit real routines.
Iterate with Care
Ship small, learn from use, keep what helps. The north star: calm progress and kinder relationships.
Let’s connect
Building Reflect Connect with clinicians and early users. Share feedback, swap stories, or join early access.
